HitchHiker Sidecar For Sale: $1500 obo
This is a unknown year HitchHiker sidecar with motorcycle wheel, locking trunk, aluminum diamond-plate step, original factory carpeted interior, and good condition vinyl tonnou cover. Usable as is, or a little bit of fiberglass repair on the fender and a coat of paint for the whole body would really make it look even better. The tub is VERY solid, no damage. The frame has been stripped and repainted fairly recently and is ready to go. Swingarm bearings replaced at that time and good to go as well. Fully rewired to match a standard trailer plug setup for easy connection. Extra two-pin SAE plug with dedicated ground line for driving light. Includes struts with 1" ball mounts for lower arms (not the clevis lowers shown in photos), & clevis uppers. BMW /6, /7 subframe to match also available, as is assistance with mounting/aligning if desired. (see sidecars link to left)
Tub removes easily without disturbing lighting/wiring to allow use as a cargo platform. The possibilities are nearly endless!
This was my personal sidecar for many fun miles, and still has many more to give.

BMW Parts:
- BMW 22 liter tailbox. Fits monoshock Airheads, and some models of K-Bikes. Includes mounting pin & plate. Also includes no-longer-available permanent mounting bar for lower plate. Allows you to leave lower plate in place when trunk is removed. Also makes mounting the box easier. One small repair as shown in photos, not visible from outside. Includes lock cylinder with one folding key. Will ship with cylinder removed to allow rekeying if desired, or will rekey the cylinder for free if you pick the box up rather than have it shipped! (about $400 for all included parts if bought new) $225, obo.

- Tailrack for monoshock airheads and some K-bikes. Required for mounting of 22-liter topcase. Unit is solid with good threads, but does have one small repair (using aluminum-specific epoxy-putty on the underside) and then hit with a rattle-can to cover up a few scuffs. $20.
- Support brackets for monoshock Airhead tailrack. Required for mounting of 22-liter topcase to these bikes. ($130 for the set new) $40.
- Grab handle for tail section of monoshock Airhead bikes (1985-1995). Couple of small scuffs, otherwise straight and solid. $10.

- R100RT upper fairing. Originally off of 1995 RT-Classic. Has some scrapes and a repair to the upper right, and center panels. Very solid, all tabs & threaded inserts intact. Was used for a while as-is, but really could use some fresh paint. Was told by my body shop that it could be masked to save the pinstriping & original decals. But please judge for yourself. Will ship disassembled & well padded for smaller shipping box and less chance of damage. $250, obo. {Will consider separating.}

- R100RT main fairing mount bracket. Straight & true. Decent paint. (lists for $175 new) $50.

- Airhead RT/RS center panel. (fits between forks below headlight panel). Classic black with red pinstripes. Some scrapes/scuffs, but original undamaged panel with all tabs intact. $30.
- Airhead RT air vent inlet w/screen. - $10.
- Airhead RT Single right-hand mirror mount, some slight scuffing of rubber at outer end. - $5

- Airhead Misc. Parts:
- Airhead handlebar clamps. Includes dashmount brackets for monoshock dash-pad. (can you believe BMW wants over $165 for these parts?!?!) $40
- 1970-1979 rear brake lever pivot bolt. Good condition, includes grease fitting. $5.
- R100 Airhead pistons. Both size marked at 93.97mm (size B). Original pattern still clearly visible on skirt. Clean them up and they are good to go! (over $200 new, EACH) $50 for the pair.

- 1977 to 1995 Airhead Bosch starters. 9-tooth Bendix. Cleaned and tested for proper and
smooth operation. Includes the rear support bracket.
Three Two units

- One starter nose cover and mounting nuts/spring. ($28 for new) $10.
- Valeo starter solenoid. Tested and does draw in piston, overall condition seems ok. $5.

BMW Automobile:
-BMW 325E dashboard. Repair done to one of the mounting tabs, speedometer sometimes stops for a few moments and then comes back. (loose connection?) All other gauges seem to work fine. Lens is very clear. $25
